Franklin Fire Department recently purchased a 2009 Freightliner Dual Purpose fire truck to replace one of the older trucks currently in use. Pictured from left above are FFD Capt. Mark Sessions, city Councilman Chuck Autin, Mayor Raymond Harris and FFD Chief Peggy Davis. Below, First National Bank of Jeanerette presented the City of Franklin with a loan check for $128,000 for the purchase of the new fire truck. The total cost of the truck was $227,000. The city, parish and state will fund the remainder of the cost.
