Lawrence St. Blanc Jr
A Charenton man died in a single-vehicle accident early Sunday morning.
State Police Troop I reported that Lawrence St. Blanc Jr., 27, of Charenton, died in an accident at about 1 a.m. Sunday.
St. Blanc was reportedly traveling west in his pickup truck on La. 87 near Charenton when he left the roadway for unknown reasons. He went off on the right shoulder and reportedly attempted to return to the road, overcorrected and again went off the road on the other side.
The accident report continues that St. Blanc apparently steered back to the road and went off again, the vehicle flipped several times and the driver was ejected.
A blood alcohol test is pending, state police report, and they indicated St. Blanc was not wearing a seat belt.
St. Blanc was the only full time firefighter at the Town of Baldwin Fire Department.
