Franklin Fire Department hosted a day-long class Saturday in the use of extrication stabilization jacks. Emergency first responders from the local department as well as from the Coteau Fire Department took advantage of several staged accidents to become familiar in the use of the jacks. In the photos, four of the jacks were used to lift and stabilize one car resting on another to gain access to the occupants of the bottom vehicle. The training session was conducted by staff from the equipment sales company, Cajun Rescue.
