ERNEST THIBODEAUX
Ernest Edward “Rex” Thibodeaux, 70, a native of New Orleans and a lifelong resident of Franklin, died Saturday, May 30, 2009, at 9:10 a.m., at Iberia Medical Center in New Iberia.
Mr. Thibodeaux is survived by his wife, Judy Bodin Thibodeaux of Franklin; four sons, Marvin Leon Thibodeaux and his wife, Mary, of Lafayette; David Edward Thibodeaux and his wife, Shannon, of Houston; Rex Allen Thibodeaux and his wife, Laurie, of Egan; and Leon Eli Thibodeaux of New Iberia; three daughters, Mary Catherine Touchet and her husband, Charles, of Lafayette; Karen Ann Thibodeaux and her companion, Noah, of Lafayette; and Lauren Claire Thibodeaux of New Iberia; 18 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon Eli Thibodeaux and Catherine Francis Halstead Thibodeaux; and a grandchild, Anissa Leger.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed Tuesday, June 2, from 1 p.m. until 10 p.m., at Ibert’s Mortuary, with the rosary being prayed at 6 p.m., and funeral services at 7 p.m. Pastor Den Hussey of The Crossing Place Fellowship will officiate the services.
He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all that knew him.
