Franklin firefighters responded to a structure fire on Firmin Street Monday that is being investigated as suspicious in nature, according to Chief Peggy Davis. The fire reported at 1:57 p.m. originated on an exterior wall of the residence at 103 Firmin St. in the Columbia subdivision. FFD personnel were on scene within 2 minutes and had the blaze under control by 2:05 p.m. Damage was limited to the single wall and the carport roof, Davis said. There were no injuries reported.
