Someone stole a school bus from the parking lot at Franklin High School Saturday night and by Sunday morning had caused this damage behind Franklin City Hall. Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire said the bus's keys were inside the vehicle, and apparently it was driven to City Hall, a cinder block placed on the accelerator and let go. It apparently was moving in reverse, crashed through an awning on an adjacent building and then into two city vehicles in the parking lot. It also hit a natural gas line in the process, which had to be shut off by gas company employees. Police got an anonymous call about 11:55 p.m. Sunday reporting a fire at City Hall, but McGuire said the smoke was from the bus's tires spinning after it came to a stop when it struck the two city vehicles. She said the incident is being investigated.
