Main Street was blocked to traffic for more than five hours Tuesday after a utility pole was rammed and snapped in two by a flatbed truck. Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire said one of her officers was east bound in the 1100 block of Main Street behind a 1999 Dodge 11,000 truck at about 4:10 p.m. when it veered to the right and ran into the pole. Emmett Abraham, 35, of Charenton was cited for reckless operation. He was not injured. Franklin police remained on scene until 9:30 p.m. while the pole was replaced by Cleco.
